This website is designed to inform you of the West Plains Typhoons, a swim team from West Plains, Missouri. Please help support us in our efforts to encourage a sport that is growing in popularity and that anyone can perform. 
We have started our 2009 season and would love for anyone to join. We practice on Tuesday and Thursday from 7 pm till 8 pm at the West Plains Civic Center Pool. During June, practice will be at the WP City Pool on Fridays from 11-12 am. Summer registration is $15.00. This will provide you with free entry into the Civic Center pool and West Plains City pool during practices, stroke Technique lessons and coaching. Great exercise routine. Swim Meet Entries every Saturday in June. And wonderful fun. WP Swim Team provides swimmers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to excel in the sport of swimming. Our program meets the needs of the novice competitive swimmer to State Champions and National All-Americans. Our Coaching Staff provides swimmers with the tools to excel through a structured, encouraging and supportive environment. We believe that success is the result of a solid foundation in the fundamentals of proper stroke technique and balanced workouts. Swimmers are expected to come to practice ready and willing to strive towards improvement through listening, following directions, working together as a team, and demonstrating respect for their coaches and their teammates. Our coaches know personally, that dedication is an important characteristic of the competitive swimmer. Our swimmers are challenged both mentally and physically. |
